About

Hi! We are Dakota and Bekah and this is our journey toward parenthood.

We met in high school, dated for six years and got married in December 2011. Our lives have been filled with change! In our three years of marriage, we have moved five times and lived in three different states! We are now back home and living in Florida. Fertility treatments were a huge part of our lives for two years. Now, we are on the adventure to adopt our baby!

We are excited as we begin our adoption journey. God has placed it in our hearts that there is a child out there who we will call our own. We have faith that God will bring the desires of our hearts and we cannot wait to see what He has planned for us. The verse we chose to help guide our hearts during this adoption process is Hebrews 11:1. “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.  For years we have hoped and prayed for children. Even though we can’t see the journey ahead we have complete faith God is in control.

For those of you that do not know us very well, here is a brief description we wrote about each other.

Dakota is working on his Masters degree in Engineering. He is very practical and loves to make decisions! Being the first born has made him a naturally leader. He enjoys sports, exercise and food. God is the center of his life and you can often hear him talking about the Bible. He loves to learn. You will find him researching anything from politics to how to fix an air conditioning unit. He is a wonderful husband and always makes me feel like what I have to say is important. I can’t wait to see how he is as a daddy!

Bekah is extremely creative and supportive.  She enjoys crafting, cooking, sewing, reading, and sports.  Bekah truly reflects the Proverbs 31 woman.  She has my full trust and works hard for our family.  Bekah is amazing with children.  She loved her jobs teaching preschool and being a nanny.   She has so much love to give.  I know she would make the perfect mom based simply off the love she gives me and our dog.  She is an amazing wife and I don’t know what I would do without her.  I can’t wait to hear someone call her mommy!
